As a private, 100% South African, black woman owned business, Ithuba recognises that as a result of discrimination laws and practices, there are disparities in employment, occupation and income within the national labour market and business environment. In acknowledging its responsibility towards redressing the imbalances of the past, the company has adopted a three - point strategy, of which each point combines the key elements of Black Economic Empowerment, skills Transfer and Affirmative Action.
The three components of this strategy include: - A commitment to Employment Equity and Affirmative Action - The Promotion and Support of Small Medium & Micro Enterprises - Social Responsibility ProgramsIPS chose to have its empowerment credentials audited and rated by an external BEE Rating Organisation. The rationale for exposing IPS to sich an intense external audit was simply to offer our clients the peace of mind that we are who we say we are. This allows our clients to accept on face value our entire empowerment credentials from equality through to social responsibility, employment equity, business development etc. We are proud to have achieved the Level 1 BBBEE status and a 135% Procurement Recognition Level. Having achieved he Level 1 Contributor rating enables our clients to claim 100% of their total monthly procurement with IPS towards their own BEE Procurement Investment. Please refer to the certification page for a copy of our BBBEE certificate and rating scorecards confirming our BBBEE Status.
